Painting & Drawing Skills Beginners (19.00-21.30)Mondays

"Beginners Mixed Media Art Course. Course participants will learn to create mixed media artworks with drawing and painting fundamentals as foundational skills. While learning about drawing and painting, learners also learn to integrate photography, print and found materials into their artworks.

After 10 weeks learners will understand important aspects of drawing and painting and how to use that knowledge when creating combined material art projects. Learners will also be able to set up and use a macro photography studio and understand mono and relief printing. The main aim is to explore combinations of traditional visual art skills like painting and drawing with photography, print and 3D textures using found and recycled materials like cardboard, sand or textiles. You will learn about how to envision and plan a traditional or mixed media artwork and carrying it out knowing what principles work best.
