Description:	This short course will provide participants with the tools necessary to begin to discover the craft of writing. The elements of story creation including how to create an exciting opening, plot, character creation, setting, believable dialogue, and structure will be explored in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Assignments will be set each week. Participants will be encouraged to read out their work to the group in a supportive environment as a way of gaining confidence in their voice on the page. This workshop is for those who want to discover and develop their creative writing skills by exploring the imagination, overcoming fear, developing a writing habit and finding a voice. Trigger exercises and writing games will be used. Constructive feedback will be given to those who bring work.
