Description:	Are you a parent with children in secondary school who are studying computer science but you know nothing about programming. Maybe you are a teacher of computer science but you would like to be more confident about the basics of programming. Then this class is for you. We will work through writing simple computer programs. You will come away from course with a deep understanding of the basic constructs of a computer programming. All you need for course is your own laptop that has a browser. There is no need for you to install any software. We will use a Google platform to write the code online on Google drive. You don’t need any prior programming experience but you do need to be comfortable with technology. Do you use several apps on your phone? If so, this course will not be a challenge for you.
Tutor:	Mairead Manifold Works as a programmer for a finance software company in Cork called Tradeshape. It is her third year teaching Python Programming to school children as a volunteer with the international organisation CoderDojo.
